Well, I grew up strange,
and I grew up fast.
Am I pushing my luck?
How long can it last?
With a bead in my hand
and my heart in the bush,
mystery creatures came by -
they told me take a look.
Like a treasure I’ve known
since before I was born,
The Bead People now have
A life of their own.
Smiling out loud,
gale-force love at my back,
I watch the beads dance
with a cat on my lap.
Music incarnates,
the best from my brother,
while the Bead People sing,
if it’s not one thing it’s your mother!
